The Year Of Doing Big, Fun, Scary Things Together is a continuation of NaNoWriMo where we get to pick what we want to do. For 2008 I want to blog regularly, and there are several other NaNoWriMo participants that have decided to blog regularly in 2008.

That URL is for a Supernatural fanfiction I just read. It is one of the most amazing stories I have ever read. And I read a lot. It's not a long fic, but it's not super short. It's humor. You don't need to know a lot about Supernatural to read it. If you know that Dean and Sam are brothers that drive a '67 Chevy Impala around the continental U.S. and hunt demons, spirits and other evil supernatural forces, then you're good. You should also know that Booby owns a salvage yard and is full of awesome and win.
Note: Do not read in a class or the workplace. The fanfiction I linked to causes extreme laughter.

Tonight I did something that I vowed to myself that I would not do ever again.
I looked at Supernatural pictures for upcoming episodes. Spoiler pictures.
This is terrible. Spoilers are like a drug, and I will not relapse. Watching Supernatural is so much more fun when I don't know what's going to happen.
I don't want to know. I don't want to know. I don't want to know. I don't want to know. I want it to be next Thursday right now!!
Forgive me for my weakness. This hiatus is making me go crazy. I hate hiatus's. But I like that they (the CW or the people behind Supernatural, whoever schedules when an episode will play) are stretching out the episodes they have done. I'm hoping that after most shows run out we'll still have one or two episodes and by that time the writer's strike will be concluded.
For now I will continue my mantra: I don't want to know, I don't want to know, I don't want to know, I can haz next Thurzday nao? And I'll get to writing the Concepts paper I need to write, so that I can go to bed (and dream up stories to fit the spoilery pictures I saw).
On the 29th I posted that I would win NaNoWriMo. I'm proud to say that I was able to make that statement true. I submitted my novel at a little after 10pm on November 30th with 50,012 words! Then I called my family to brag about it. Now I have printed all 145 pages of my novel out. It's double-spaced in 12pt Garamond font, and now I'm ready to go at it with my pink editing pen of greatness.
So this is my exciting I DID IT post. Tonight I'm going to play laser tag in the gymnasium. And East House will win. Because I am officially AWESOME!
I will win NaNoWriMo. Through pure will, if no other way. I haven't been posting here because I've been too busy procrastinating to do so. As of yesterday morning my NaNoWriMo word count was 29k. That's 21k below the 50k goal. Right now my word count is 41k. So I procrastinated so well through the first 27 days of the month, never on top of my word count goal. I don't think I made any of the quotas after the one on the first day. And now it's an hour before the last day of November and NaNoWriMo and I am proving once again that I am amazing under pressure. Tomorrow I will have to write 9k, or less if I squeeze another thousand or two words out of the next hour, and I'm thinking that pulling an all-nighter into the last day of NaNoWriMo sounds like a really good idea. So what if I have two classes and work tomorrow. I can survive on no sleep. Plus, I got a good night's sleep last night, and I can sleep in December.
I want to win NaNoWriMo more than I've ever wanted anything in my life, so I'm going to do it. Go me!
I think they should rename the title of tonight's episode to "Oh Boys!"
I want to rewatch the episode before typing too much, but "Fresh Blood" is definitely one of my favorite of this season.
Something to look for in future episodes :: So far the episodes dealing with vampires all have the word 'blood' in the title. "Dead Man's Blood," "Bloodlust" and "Fresh Blood."
Sleeping On The Inside: That's what I'm doing. I'm sleeping, but I'm awake. It's not because I'm bored, it's just because I didn't get enough sleep and I dislike mornings. So here I am, at work, sleeping on the inside. And trying my best not to fall asleep on the outside as well.
I slid past 8k last night before bed (I wouldn't go to bed until I reached it). Today I'd really like to catch up, but I'll take one thousand at a time. I'm going to try to push closer to 9k between now and noon. Then after lunch I can write in my room with music (though I may need to take a nap). I'm doing homework somewhere around 3pm. Then I can write more until dinner between 5pm and 7pm. And I work again from 8pm to midnight. I'll be able to bring my laptop for that shift, and write more. Wednesdays in November are going to be my catch up day because I'd really like to catch up to the 11,900 words I'm supposed to be at. I think it would feel really nice to not be so far behind.
