It's Like My Brain Exploded And This Is The Result

I've been working in Photoshop and I made the graphic below for a site that I may or may not ever make.

I had to put it up here because my friend wants to see it, but I was unable to send it to her through IM.

^*^*^*^*^

I found a notebook that had some freewrite type things I did when I went to a weekly writing group with my Mom. I have alot of them actually. I'm going to put them up. The first four we were given a word and had ten minutes to write. The last four we had two minutes. These were all written on May 25, 2006.

Prompt 1: Fire
Burning, destroying, making new beginnings. Taking down the old to make room for the new. Why is it that it takes a disasterous event to make us think about our lives. When someone dies we wonder if we said "I love you" enough or try to recall the last time we talked to them. Why didn't we call more often? How come we were always busy?
A fire. At home, makes you wonder why? Maybe you weren't good enough. What did you do to deserve it? Why you? Why not the house next door, or no fire at all? Why wasn't the stove turned off? Shouldn't someone have checked to make sure the water heater wouldn't catch fire before putting it in your house? What if I had been home? Would I have been able to stop it? Call the fire department? Would I have gotten hurt? What if my family had been home?
Why must we ask the 'what if' questions? Can't we just be happy that we're safe, our family's safe, our friends are safe? Homes can be rebuilt. People can't. Savor the moment.

Prompt 2: Blue (This was supposed to be one long sentence)
Blue skies and blue waters; fresh laundry, is that what blue smells like, this reminds me of somebody's signature I've seen online, "what smells like blue?" What is blue to a dog, dogs are color blind, is blue non-existant; can they tell the difference between the color of water and that of grass, if not how do they know which is which? Is it the motion of the water or are grass and water different shades of grey, is it maybe that they lie down on one and hope they don't get wet because I would think that that would produce alot of wet dogs, and alot of smelly dogs, and that would be no fun at all.

Prompt 3: Elasti Girl
High fashion. Stick thin legs, curves, but only in the right places. Wearing the perfect outfit everyday. These are the rules set for what is percieved to be beautiful, are they not? Rules probably thought up by a guy, but ones that girls all over try to adhere to. Trying to reach unattainable goals, unrealistic perfection. The kind that is seen in the movies and magazine ads. Pictures that have most likely been photoshopped, editted to look better because nobody is perfect. Not even a woman.

Promt 4: "I don't remember the signifigance of these rocks."
I don't remember the signifigance of these rocks. I know the mean something. I remember them meaning something. Something special. To me. When I pick them up I feeltheir coolness fade as the heat from my hand warms them up, but I can feel in my soul that to me they are special, not ordinary. And I am sad because I cannot remember why they are special. I feel as if I am missing a part of me. I have forgotten something dear to me and it's as if I have forgotten a friend from long ago.

Prompt 5: Pineneedle
In my shirt. In my hair. How did a pineneedle get in my ice cream bowl? I'm inside.

Prompt 6: Clam
Clam digging. Mud, squelching, oozing. Sticking in my hand to take a clam. After two I call it quits. I'm done. No more for me.

Prompt 7: Harmony
Somedays unatytainable, standing in chorus and it sounds like everything we try to sing comes out bad. Sharp. Flat. Too high. Too low. Never right.

Prompt 8: Silly
Laughing uncontrollably. No reason I can think up.

I was flipping channels last night and ended up on TV Guide's "50 Sexiest Men on TV" special. I wrote down a few of them so that I could brag or whatever. I haven't been able to find a full list on line though.

Here's what I wrote down from TV Guide list of 50 sexy guys on tv:
#37 :: Jared Padalecki
#32 :: Mark Harmon
#28 :: Hugh Laurie
#27 :: Chad Michael Murray (yeah, even TV Guide thinks Jensen is hotter than you!)
#26 :: Jensen Ackles
#22 :: Justin Chambers
#21 :: Isiah Washington
#19 :: Tom Welling
#18 :: David Boreanaz
#12 :: James Denton
#8 :: John Stamos
#7 :: Jeffrey Dean Morgan
#5 :: Matthew Fox
#4 :: Wentworth Miller
#3 :: Julian McMahon
#2 :: Patrick Dempsey
#1 :: Josh Holloway

I'm very thankful that the entire cast of Supernatural is on this list (Hell Yeah!!) because the guys deserve it. Sometime in the near futre I will be printing out pictures and making my own list. I intend to include actors that are on show on channels like SCI-FI and Nickelodean because they've got some nice looking guys too (Michael Shanks, Ben Browder, Drake Bell, Jamie Bamber, etc). I also think that Justin Hartley should be on the list because, well, he's sexy. But I think this list was from last year because Jeffrey Dean Morgan is currently not on tv (RIP Denny Duquette and John Winchester). I would be interested in seeing a more updated list.

^*^*^*^*^

And no I have some more writing to post. I have three poems that I've done. I'm not really a poetry person, but the first one I wrote during the writing group thing on May 25, 2006. The other two I wrote for an English project and actually liked.

My Day
Slept in,
Got up late,
Went to school,
Wasn't late.

Sat through homeroom,
Read through Study Hall,
And History.

Science class we went outside,
in our groups we visited stations,
Learned how science is used in the military,
To ensure safe environments for men...and women to go in,
Communication trucks and T.O.C. vans.

In WebTeam we went outside,
A first for our computer geek class.

I have no recollection of English class,
I know I was there,
Why can't I remember what we did?

A sub in Math,
Finished my homework,
Thirty minutes more reading.

After school, with my friends,
Helping with Ryan's book talk,
Eating chocolate,
Reading the slogans -- fortune cookie like -- from the inside of Dove candy wrappers.

Playing the Sims,
Washing the dishes,
Watching season 2 episode of Atlantis that I haven't seen.

And now here,
Writing and sharing,
Letting free my creativity.

Last Night
Last night,
I was sixteen,
But tonight I am not,
Tonight I am seventeen.

One year older,
Everything's changed,
But nothing's different.
My friends are still my friends,
My hair still won't go up nicely,
And my homework still needs my attention.

Last night I was sixteen,
And tomorrow I will be eighteen,
But tonight I am seventeen,
And that's all that matters right now.

Have You No Sense? -Dedicated to Kathryn and Chris Wright
You drink,
You drive,
You'll hurt someone.
Many someones.

It's okay you've only had a few,
And you're always really careful.
You know the roadsd well,
And the weather's not that bad...

It'll be okay,
No harm,
No foul,
No one will even know,
That you drove drunk.
It'll be okay.

But it only takes once,
To ruin a life,
Your's or someone else's.
Why take the chance?

You drink,
You drive,
You take a life,
One that means something to someone else.

You should have stayed home,
Called a cab,
Passed on the last drink.
Have you no sense?

I think that's all for tonight. I've discovered Friday5.org and the Supernatural Friday Five community on LiveJournal so I'd like to try some of those out. I also discovered PicSpams this week. And what wonderful things they are. Anteka has some really great Supernatural ones on her LiveJournal. I don't know the address, but I encourage people to check them out.

"Crossroad Blues"

This week's episode of Supernatural just ended. According to my clock it's like three minutes after ten. What this means is I'm not going to be very understandable, but I'm going to try anyway. Here is my review for the Supernatural episode "Crossroad Blues".

I love the "then", "now", and "soon" pieces. I think they're great. I thought it was amazing that the promo from next week's episode was like a minute long. More like a movie trailer you'd see in the theaters, than a tv show commercial. Sweet!

I love the MySpace comment Dean makes. I just find it funny that he doesn't know what MySpace is. And it makes sense too. He's been on the road, and wouldn't really have time to explore the Internet's social places, and why would he want to?

This episode brought up a few new questions for me:
How did they 'improvise' Metallicar out of the impound lot?
What happens to Dean in ten years? (They made the deal right, or was the demon exorcised, and the deal is null?)
Are they going to get John back?
Why can't we cut out the days between Thursday and the next Thursday so we don't have to wait so long for new episodes?

I think that's it. It's short.

I'm traveling to Vermont tomorrow. My friend and I are going to visit Champlain College and Castleton. I'm really interested in Champlain, and I'm applying there, once I get all my recommendation stuff together.

Now I'm going to go Photoshop something. I don't know what yet, but something.

Good Night.

"The Usual Suspects"

Wow! I managed to put off my Supernatural review thing for a whole week. Now I have free time, and I guess I'll do it.

My review for the Supernatural episode "The Usual Suspects".

I liked the concept of the episode; that finially Dean and Sam get caught. Because we know they're the good guys, but they do alot of illegal things along the way, and nobody knows that they save lives. Claire the Death Omen was awesome! Very creepy and disgusting.

One of my favorite parts was when Dean was trying to hang out while Sam hacked Anthony Giles password. I thought it was hilarious and very practical (and in character) that Dean wouldn't be very good at just doing nothing. I love Jensen's facial expressions and the clicking and farting noises.

I had alot of lines that I liked. I list them below.

"We saw the largest ball of twine in the continental U.S. Awesome!" A perfect delivery by Jared, and one of the first times Sam's lied to police officers. And it's a funny line.

"Matlock." Yes, they are brothers. I loved that both Dean and Sam called the lawyer Matlock.

"Just alot of wiseass remarks." I don't know why I like this line, but I like that Dean's being a wiseass to the cops.

"My name is Dean Winchester. I'm an aquarius. I enjoy sunsets, long walks on the beach and frisky women. And I did not kill anyone." I just thought this 'confession' was so Dean. Great writing and, as always, awesome acting.

"Just one more dead scum bag." "Hey!" I liked that short exchange between Pete, the cop, and Dean. And it's kinda of like finding out how someone on the 'outside' (of Supernatural) would see the brothers and what they do. Pete doesn't know that they're really good guys, and how could he they'd never tell him. And of course, Dean objects to being called a scumbag because he's a good guy. Even though most people won't ever know it.

I like that Dean and Sam have a plan in case they get separated.

Now I'm going to finish up quick because I want to go watch the Simpsons. I realy liked this episode, but by the end I had two things that worried me. Number One: Dean and Sam are now on the police radar for St. Louis because now they're all puzzled about why their dead serial killer isn't really dead, but really is, and every one is confused. Number Two: Metallicar. When Sam says at the end that they'll improvise, that better mean they're going to improvise Metallicar out of the impound lot, and not improvise on a new car. Metallicar is loved and she can't be replaced.

I think that's it. I'll be back later to type my new review for this week's episode.

Oh, I almost forget. I love Jensen and Jared!!!!!!!! Fangirl moment over (for now).

Computers Suck!

I wrote my entire review (and it was really long) and my stupid computer messed up and didn't post it. So I'll post my review of Supernatural "The Usual Suspects" tomorrow, when I'm not as mad at computers.

The Chronicling Of My Obsessions

I had something really deep and interesting to blog about, but I've forgotten it.

I want to put a list of my past and present obsessions on here. They are in order from a long time ago, to now.

Titanic

Smallville

Lord of the Rings

Stargate, Stargate SG-1, and Stargate Atlantis (Mostly SG-1 in the beginning. Mostly Atlantis since Jack/RDA left SG-1.)

Supernatural (NOW)

Dark Angel (NOW)

Firefly/Serenity (NOW)

Titanic was my first obsession. I have a bunch of books about the ship, and the movie, etc. Smallville was next. My best friend and I watched it religiously in the eighth grade (I watch it now bcause it's on before Supernatural, and I watched season 4 because of Jensen). I got into Stargate SG-1 because one of my friends introduced it to me. Then my Girl Scout troop did an event based on the show (we're very talented). I still watch SG-1 and Atlantis when they air on the CW. I don't get to see new episodes on Sci-Fi because we don't have Sci-Fi. Supernatural is my current obsession (obviously). I got into this summer when they were playing repeats on the WB/CW. I was flipping channels and landed on it. Then watched it the next week and the week after. Then I read that the episodes were uploaded on youtube.com, and I caught up on all of them. Now I'm obsessed and I watch every episode when it airs. I read (and sometimes write) fanfics, read (and post to) message boards, etc. I am obsessed. I got into Dark Angel because Jensen is in it (in the second season). I waited patiently as CrystaLuv and EncartaQueen uploaded episodes. My new Firefly/Serenity obsession is my friend Ryan's fault. I let him borrow my Supernatural DVDs, and he let me borrow his Firefly DVDs, and I watched all of Firefly in a weekend. Then he let me borrow the movie Serenity. I've seen it three or four times now. It's a good show (and movie) and I'm really bummed that it's off the air.

What I really obsess over is certain actors, and they change as my obsession changes. With Titanic it was Leonardo DiCaprio. Smallville it was Tom Welling. My Lord of the Rings love intrest was Viggo Mortensen. Stargate SG-1 I liked Richard Dean Anderson. Stargate Atlantis I like Joe Flanigan. For Supernatural and Dark Angel it's Jensen Ackles (Jared Padalecki is good-looking too). And for Firefly and Serenity I like Nathan Fillion.

The point of this whole post is that I have obsession problems. I'm proud to say that I have never stalked anyone though. I will not stoop to that.

I'll be back on here after tonight's episode of Supernatural to give my review.

I Guess Jo's Not Soooo Bad & Firefly/Serenity

I rewatched "No Exit" a few times, and I like it more now. It had a good plot. After watching it more I was able to get past my dislike of Jo a little, but it helps that she probably won't be in many episodes until things settle down between her and Ellen, and Dean and Sam.

I can't wait for tomorrow's episode. I want to know what happens.

I watched Serenity last night. That is a good movie. I really enjoyed it, and the outtakes were pretty funny. A great follow-up to Firefly. I think Mal is my favorite character, then Kaylee (she's so cute), but I like the whole cast of Firefly/Serenity.

Creative Writing Group: The Fruits Of My Labor

Prompt: Combine at least two of the following fairy tales into an at least slightly serious story: Snow white, Sleeping Beauty, Thumbelina, Beauty and the Beast, Rapunzel, Cinderella, Goldilocks, Little Red Riding Hood, Princess and the Pea, Pinocchio, and the Little Mermaid.

"I will have the best story!!"

"But sweetie, it's just--"

"I-Don't-Care!! Mine will be the best!"

This conversation sounded like many her and her daughter had had in the years past. Once a year actually, just weeks before the deadline for Write The Way's annual short story contest.

Since her daughter, Anna, had first heard about the contest 12 years ago she had wanted to win it. So every year Anna wrote out a new story, and every year it was better than she'd ever written before. And every year her story sounded something like "once upon a time there was a girl, who had a dog. They were best friends, and they played in the park and ran around together until the end of time. The end." And for the past 12 years Anna had been getting letters from Write The Right Way thanking her for her submission.

This year however, Anna was determined to win, even if it meant cheating to do it. Anna sat in the middle of her bedroom floor surrounded by letter laid on ripped open envelopes.

"What is this?!" Her mother questioned loudly.

These are all the stories that were going to be sent in. I'm using them for ideas to write my story." She wrote quickly in her notebook. "There. I'm done." She handed her mother the notebook. The story was like this:

Once upon a time there was a girl. She wore one glass slipper and one red sequined slipper. She had long hair and seven little people that followed her around. She was allergic to apples and peas and fell asleep alot. She liked to go into other peoples houses and eat the food and sleep in their beds. Her father was kidnapped by a mysterious beast that lived in a castle. She delivered baked goods to her grandmother and her sister was a mermaid. She lived happily ever after. The end.

"It's...lovely." Her mother told her.

"I'm going to send it in now."

"Okay. Honey."

^*^*^*^*^

My friend got me into the show Firefly, which has about 14 episodes and was cancelled in 2002. I'm quite bummed because I actually like the show. I can't wait to get my hands on the movie Serenity. I hope it's good. I'd heard from a different friend that it is.

I have to go now. I want to get some writing done on a story I'm writing, and I had a great idea for it in the shower earlier (most of my great inspirations come in the shower).

"No Exit"

Okay my review thing for "No Exit".

I liked the bad guys. I thought it was a cool idea.

My main problem with this episode was Jo. I really want to like her because I know I have to deal with her to watch the show, but I really don't like her. I tried. She just annoys me.

I liked the uncomfortable moments between Dean and Jo, even though I don't like her and I was jealous of her. And the way Dean woke up on that chair, that would hurt. Even if the chair was comfy. You have to wonder how the hell he ended up like that.

I had guessed a little before Jo told Dean, that John had been on her Dad's last hunt. I have already forgotten her Dad's name so I'm going to call him WAH because those are his initials.

I'm a little glad that Jo and Ellen are mad at our guys right now because it means we get an episode without the Roadhouse, etc. I do like Ash, and the way Ellen scares Dean, but Jo still annoys me.

I wasn't as excited for this episode as I have been for the previous ones, but it's okay because the commercials for next weeks epi got me squeaking. I'm totally ready for that one now...seriously, right now.

I Am Living Spoiler-Free

I have been spoiler free for Supernatural since last Thursday, but today I had to watch the clip that cwtv.com posted for the upcoming episode. It didn't really give anything away. And now I know for sure that I don't like Jo. She annoys me. She's too girly. She's supposed to be a hunter, but she wears mini-skirts and uncomfortable-looking shoes? I'm a girl, so I understand that a girl can kick ass and look sexy at the same time, but she just annoys me. And she throwing herself at Dean, ack! She can't have him!!

I think I'm better now. I can't wait for tomorrow's episode though. Tonight I intend on watching Bones (if it's on) and Criminal Minds.

Photoshop

I have just been photoshopping away these past weeks. I just finished making a Drake Bell banner for my friend Bails.

I finished my English project in time. It took me 'til midnight though.
