Stargate Atlantis Episode 5.01 "Search and Rescue"

I don't want to write too much about this episode because it hasn't aired yet (it got leaked and my willpower is not strong when it comes to my obsessions) and because I'm still not fully coherent.

I watched it Saturday morning and again Saturday night. It is sooooooooooo good. I wish I could make people understand how I feel about this episode, but I doubt I can. Just thinking about it my stomach gets all fluttery and I feel like skipping. The special effects were amazing. The plot line was GUH! It was seriously like a hurt/comfort fanfic on screen. Watching this episode was one of the best spent hours (43 minutes, whatever) of my life. The acting was tremdous. Everyone from the guy that fetches coffee in the morning to the writers, director, camera people, and actors NAILED this episode. Joe Flanigan is amazing. Sometimes I doubt the amazing-ness and then I watch episodes like this one. I love the things they've made canon (though they've been fanon for a while). There are so many insights into Sheppard (and other characters too, but mostly Sheppard), how he thinks and feels. How he's reacting to the chance to save Teyla.

I cannot wait to see how the rest of this season goes. I want to see many moments where the boys (i.e. John, Rodney, and Ronon) interact with the baby. Sheppard's "I haz the baby, 'hi baby'" face is one of the greatest ever.

Twilight Chapter Reviews: 01. First Sight

I am a horrible, horrible procrastinator. I have been sitting here with my chapter 01 notes open next to me for about two hours. Now I am stopping my run of procrastination and writing this post. Yay for me!

I read this chapter and write down a bunch of ideas and quotes that I wanted to react to.

Number 01. Bella's problem with sharing a bathroom with Charlie. I have two separate, yet similar reactions to this. Reaction the first, I live in a house with four people, three of whom are women and two of those women are teenagers. We share one bathroom. The idea of sharing a bathroom with one other person does not seem as bad as Bella makes it out to be. Reaction the second, COLLEGE. Hello, in most dorms bathrooms are shared with like 20 people. I was lucky enough to get a private bathroom that I only shared with my roommate, but most have to share with an entire floor of people. What was Bella planning on doing when she went to college? Anyway. I think her reaction to sharing a bathroom was a little bit over-played. It's only one other person that she's sharing with after all.

Number 02. "No one was going to bite me" (pg. 14). This line is from when Bella has just arrived at school and is getting out of her truck to go to her first class. I like how his line is kind of ironic once you've read the books. The idea that Bella thinking that no one would bite her was a placating thought, but by the end of this book she's at an impasse with Edward where she wants to be bitten. I wonder is this is a line Stephanie Meyer planned or if she just coincidentally used the phrase "no one's going to bite you."

"They were two girls, one a porcelain-colored blonde, and the other also pale, with light brown hair" (pg. 15). On first read I thought this sentence was about Rosalie and Alice, but then I got to their descriptions and realized it wasn't about them at all. It was just about some pale students.

"As I watched, the small girl rose with her tray -- unopened soda, unbitten apple -- and walked away with a quick, graceful lope that belonged on the runway" (pg. 19). Hmm... "...unbitten apple..." sounds a lot like the image on the cover.

"So, did you stab Edward Cullen with a pencil, or what?" (pg. 25). This line is hilarious. I love it! It's such a teenager thing to say, and it's a great way for Bella to learn that Edward was reacting to her and not that they way he was acting was normal for him, without her having to ask about it. Very smooth.

I like this chapter. I flows so well into the next chapter that I didn't even see the chapter heading page for chapter 02. I didn't realize I was in the next chater until page 37 when I was like "hmm, this chapter is really long". I like how this chapter introduces new characters. I think it's very realistic that Bella can't remember Jessica's name and how she's kind of overwhelmed by everything her first day. I like the way Stephanie Meyer introduces the Cullens and the descriptions she uses so that everyone can see them as she does.

Chapter 02 and probably 03 to come within the next couple days. On a completely random and unrelated note, I am watching Thoughtcrimes for, like, the ninth time. It's got Joe Flanigan in it, which is why I've seen it when most people have never even heard of it.

Twilight Chapter Reviews: Preface

I like the preface. I like how it draws the reader into the story. Into the very end of the story and then the story starts from the beginning to explain the preface. I don't know why the preface didn't work to draw me in the first time I read this book, but it didn't. I read the first chapter or so and got bored. I didn't pick the book up for another couple weeks. But once I did really start reading it I got into it.

I really like the scene that was picked to be the preface. It leaves so many questions to be answered. Why is she going to die? How? Why has she had reason to be thinking about death? Who is "the hunter"? Who does she love that she's protecting? That she's dying for. What happened in Forks that has made facing death a possibility? What is the dream life offered her?

Even though I've read the books and know the answers to all these questions, I enjoy the preface and it's pulling me into reading the next chapter.

"Hollywood Babylon" Rantings and Miscellaneous Rantings

Thursday was a new episode of Supernatural. Episode 2.18 titled "Hollywood Babylon." I'm not going to write a long review because it's late, but I have some things to comment on and visual aids.

But first it seems that someone at Screencap Paradise got bored and updated the Supernatural screencaps all the way up through "Hollywood Babylon." The caps are large and good quality.They make me happy. And it seems like a place I'll be visiting in the future.

Onward. "Hollywood Babylon" was not my favorite episode by a long shot. However, I didn't hate it. I am totally ready for a serious stand-alone episode. Like the episodes in season one. I would an episode that is a hunt that doesn't relate in anyway to the main mytharch or the BIG DAMN SECRET or anything. Just a hunt, that is serious. I like the funny episodes, but I love the serious stand-alones like "Faith," and "Nightshifter" (though "Nightshifter" wasn't totally apart from the mytharc. It still rocked).

The Gilmore Girls reference wasn't over played. I like that. It could've easily been overdone and stretched out. And Jared's look when they the tour person was speaking about it was priceless.

I like that Dean wanted to have a vacation, and the line Jared says about the weather --"It's almost Canadian"-- had me in hysterics.

Onto a dislike paragraph. Dean eating. In "Tall Tales" it was funny. However, I no longer feel the need to see Dean eating in every scene. Poor Jensen having to eat in every take of every scene, that must get annoying for him.

In this episode I like that Dean is a serious fanboy. And that he seems to have more obscure movie/tv trivia knowledge than I do. The parts he was listing for the man that was hired to die on set were very obscure, like 'Desert Soldier #4'. It takes skill to recognize an actor from a role like that.

Now, some pictures. Both of the folling pictures are from the advertisement for the movie "Hell Hazers 2: The Reckoning".

I like this picture because if you open it up and look at the part under where it says "This Film Not Yet Rated," it continues to say "Also, not yet written, cast, shot, edited or scored". This kind of hidden humor is one of the reasons why I love Supernatural. It's like the FBI badges from "Nightshifter" that read "Han Solo" and "Jack Ryan" (both characters played by Harrison Ford).

This picture is from the very end of the commercial. It's not as funny as the previous one. I think it's cute that the web address is not real. But that's probably so that they didn't have to buy another web domain. The WB (or CW, or whatever) owns the domain "bustyasianbeauties.com". I enjoyed that they used McG (his name at least) for this episode.

I have to comment on this camera shot. Are you prepared? OHMYGOD!!!!!!!!!! I love this angle. For one, it makes him look tall. Which is cool because he is tall. And for two, it's like a total hero moment, and I love those.

I want to conclude by doing a little thing about the very end of the episode. My favorite scene of the whole episode (except for the rock salt and the shotguns and Dean shooting at the spirits that the writer is pointing to, but he can't see). The scene at the end where we follow Sam out of the set and onto the lot. We see Tara's trailer rocking and as Sam walks around the door opens and Dean comes out, pulling on his over shirt as he walks. And then we see Tara at the door of the trailer in a bathroom. My sister's reaction to this was "Wow, he dresses fast." To anyone old enough to have learned about the birds and the bees it's easy to figure out what they were doing. However, I am sweet and innocent so I've put together a short list of things they were doing in the trailer:
Dancing (I dance in bathrobes with hot guys all the time, and a guy couldn't possibly dance with that many layers on).
Sparring (She's wearing sparring clothes under the bathrobe).
Hot Tubbing (She's wearing a bathing suit. And Dean wore his boxers in there. Because all trailers have hot tubs...obviously).

I'd like to compile some picspam dealies on here. I want to do one with hero moments of Supernatural mostly Dean because I remember his, but probably some Sam too. And an angst picspam (again mostly Dean). Also, a hurt/comfort picspam. I want to put in my comments about each of the pictures as well. I love going through picspams where the author (compiler??) has put in comments like *finds bucket* or *licks screen*.

Note: I changed the background picture just a little. I made it the tiniest bit smaller because some of the text was ending up in the white part of the picture. It was fine for most browsers, but in Internet Explorer the background scrolls with the page and the test was stuck in that white spot. It was unreadable. So I worked on the pic and made it smaller so that it no longer enroaches on the text space (as much). I like it better this way. It looks like he's looking at my posts as I scroll through. And now, I obviously need some sleep.

Neglect & "Born Under A Bad Sign"

This was written on Feb. 5, 2007 for the 15minuteficlets word #3: Apology. This was written at 11:30 pm.

Author's Notes: I have very little, to no, car knowledge. I faked it.

"I'm sorry, baby." Dean whispered as he propped the hood of his Impala open and looked inside. He searched over each of her parts and pieces carefully, glancing away only to check that Sam was still asleep in the passenger seat.

This had never happened while Sam was in college. Dean had spent all of his free time making minor adjustments to his black Impala. No one would ever be able to find a '67 like her. He stroked her side as his eyes flicked across the familiar machinery.

His search ended with a relieved sigh as his gaze locked onto a cable that had become loose in their long travels, and disconnected entirel from where it belonged. He carefully took the cable in his hand and reconnected it. Making sure it was secure in its place.

He quickly swept his gaze over the vast array of cables and mechanical parts before gently closing the hood, listening for the click it made as it latched.

"I'll make it up to you." Dean patted the driver's side door affectionately, before opening it and taking his place in the driver's seat. The door squeaked loudly and then slammed as it shut.

Dean turned the keys with anticipation and was elated when the Impala roared to life. Looking to the passenger seat he saw Sam sleeping soundly. He pulled back onto the road with a sigh, this was the dude that had his back while he slept.

Sam woke up to his brother shaking him.

"We're at a motel. Grab your stuff and go sleep in a bed." Dean passed him the room key and Sam did as told. He pulled his bag out of the door to their room, setting the the key down on a small wooden table by the door.

Dean walked busily around their room, gathering odds and ends and stacking them by the door. A bucket, some cloths.

"Dean. What are you doing?" Dean filled the bucket half way with water the motel's bathroom. Sam laid himself down on his bed, pulling off his shoes and top layers af shirts.

"Washing the car, man." Dean put the room key in his back pocket and looked over at Sam. "You look like crap, dude. Go back to bed."

"Thanks." Sam mumbled, but Dean had already taken the bucket and cloths outside and shut the door.

"No problem." Sam heard from outside before making himself comfortable in the bed and once more succumbed to sleep.

My review of Supernatural's "Born Under a Bad Sign".

Over all I think this was one of the best episodes ever. The plotline was great and the acting was amazing. Jared Padalecki really stepped it up to play evil!Sam. Most of the people who watched this were amazed by Jared's performance, so I feel I must note that Jensen Ackles was exceptional as usual. He never ceases to amaze me with his facial expressions and I find it easy to connect with and feel for Dean because of Jensen's acting abilities.

I liked Jo more in this episode than I did in "No Exit". I know she didn't change, but she didn't throw herself at Dean either, and who can blame her for carrying a torch for Dean *holds up own torch*. She's not alone. I think if Jo is serious about being a hunter she should get some hand-to-hand combat training. Granted Sam is way taller than her, but still she acted more like a scared little girl than a hunter.

I enjoyed very much how this episode resembled fanfics I tend to read. Shooting Dean, and then punching him. Physically and mentally abusing Dean is definitely something I would read. I thought they did it really well and I can't wait to see what happens with all the people chasing our Winchester Boys and Dean's mental state. It seems like every episode Sam says something to worsen Dean's mental state, but he never realizes what he's doing.

"Night Shifter" & "Houses of the Holy"

I skipped my review last week and the Friday Fives. I'm going to start with a sorry excuse for a review of "Night Shifter".

I think Dean summarized the episode very well with "We are so screwed". I love the introduction of Agent Henriksen (Hendrickson?). I like he's going to be a pwerful human enemy. I like everything about this episode, especially the words "mandroid" and "okey-dokey", and the seen where Dean talks to Agent H on the phone. It's at that point that he realizes how screwed they are and I love how Jensen acted it.

I told you it was pathetic. That's all I have to say for "Night Shifter".

I guess I'll do a review for "Houses of the Holy" while I'm at it.

Because of this episode I have a newfound appreciation for vibrating beds and my sister is never going to answer the door again.

I thoroughly enjoyed the lines about unicorns: "They ride on silver moonbeams and shoot rainbows out their ass." (not an exact quote). To which Sam replies, "wait"-he sits-"unicorns aren't real?" That may be the most I've liked Sam ever.

I'm really lazy, so this is going to be short as well. The last scene of the "car chase". When Dean chases the bad guy to the intersection and a car is going through so the car in front of the bad guy stops abruptly, then the bad guy and Dean must also stop. And one metal pole thing falls off the truck that had stopped first, it bounces off the pavement and goes through the bad guys windshield and straight through his chest. That was powerful. I know I echoed Dean's "holy..." There was really no other word for that scene.

Overall I thought the episode was good. I love that they used a SpongeBob placemat to do a seance. I don't know if it's connected but check out this video on youtube.com, http://youtube.com/watch?v=ZpxJZopwaNs. It's a little dirty at the end, but it mentions SpongeBob. Do you think the people behind Supernatural watch YouTube videos?

Friday Five, Supernatural Friday Five & "Playthings"

It is once again time for me to belated do the Supernatural Friday Five, and regular Friday Five. I'm starting off with the Supernatural Friday Five.

1. What's the most heartbreaking incident/fact that's been presented in the episodes so far?
In the episode "Salvation" Dean says, "Sammy, look...the three of us—that’s all we have. And that’s all I have. Sometimes I feel like I’m barely holdin’ it together, man. Without you and Dad..." I LOVE that scene. I also think the end scene from "Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things" was very emotional and I actually cried the first few times I watched it.

2. We've been seeing a lot of new guest stars this season. Would you like to see some of those characters come back, or do you think it's better to just have new characters?
I like Ash. And Ellen's okay. I thought Andy ("Simon Said") was pretty cool. The guiest star I really want to see again is Missouri Moseley from "Home". I know she's not from season two, but she's a character I want to see again.

3. Do you think we've seen the last of Gordon?
For a while I think. He'll probably come back to cause more trouble.

4. Do you think we've seen the last of Jo? (At least for this season?)
I wish. I think Dean and Sam will run into her eventually. I'm just glad she never became a love interest for Dean (Thank You Kripke!!).

5. What are you opinions on Ava Wilson? What do you think happened to her? Is she a "good" character, or an "evil-playing-good" character?
I think she's a "good" character. But to be fair, I thought Duane ("Croatoan") was a "good guy" too, and then he did that "Meg thing". I thought Ava was cute and funny.

Now for the non-Supernatural Friday Five.

1. What is the name of the strip mall nearest your residence, and is it the strip mall you frequent most?
The strip mall nearest me is the *town name* Fair Mall. It is the strip mall I frequent the most.

2. At your preferred strip mall, what is the name of one store you’ve never entered?
Bureau of Motor Vehicles. I don't think I've been in there yet.

3. Which store at your preferred strip mall would you most like to work in?
Village Candle. I'd probably break things though. I'm not the most graceful person.

4. Which store(s) at your preferred strip mall would you like to see disappear?
Hmm...We have too many sports shops, but I bet a bunch of people would disagree with making those go away.

5. How often do you go to your preferred strip mall?
Not very often, but someone from my family goes at least once a week because it's got our grocercy store in it.

And finally, my review of Thursday's episode of Supernatural "Playthings".

I want to start by saying that the mansion/hotel/whatever rocked!! It was awesome. I'm using very interesting words. I don't know if the hotel was a set or if they actually found that building and were allowed to use it, but I thought it was an amazing place. Creepy, but also that great "big ole house" feel. And the model of the hotel made me gasp. That is SO cool. I wish I had one of those. Despite the weirdness of dolls throwing themselves down flights of stairs and commiting suicide.

More gay jokes. Dean and Sam's entrance into the hotel and then discussion up in their room was hilarious. I'll start with Dean liking the old school haunted house type hunts. I like the line about maybe even seeing Fred and Daphe inside. "Mmm, Daphe. I love her." Great line. Not overstated. The hotel owner is not a very good judge of character. First she thinks the're antiquers, then she thinks they're gay. And that leads into Dean and Sam's conversation in their room. The one where Dean asks why people think they're gay. Sam explains that Dean is butch, and people probably think he's over compensating. Maybe so. Dean's reaction kind of confused me, but really, what do you say to something like that?

My Mom loved this next scene. Dean and Sam knock on the owner's door and see the large doll collection. I'm going to say that this piece was a way of Dean paying Sam back for calling him "butch". Dean tells the owner that Sam has a HUGE doll collection and would love to look at the dolls they have. He then goes on to explain how Sam would never admit it, but like to dress hjis dolls up in their little outfits, and how much more could I possibly love Jensen Ackles right now? He does it all so well. The owner lets them in and Dean's reaction is something to the effect of "not creepy at all". True. So many doll eyes. And they're all almost completely black. I think they're possessed.

The death scenes of the man taking things to Goodwill and the lawyer working for the people buying the hotel. I love how they cut from the dool house hotel replica to the actual hotel and real people. The door opening in the doll house and then opening in the lawyer's room, very cool.

Because of this episode we know that Sam can get drunk. It's good to know that he doesn't always keep himself in check. And despite the fact that it took me a second to catch to why he was acting so weird, Sam is quite funny when he's drunk. "You're bossy. And short." What an awesome line?! I had wondered when they'd address the fact that Dean is shorter than Sam. It's not like an older sibling can't be shorter than their younger sibling (my sis and I are also 4 years apart and she's definitely going to be taller than me), but it is kind of funny. Jensen is not short. He's 6 foot 1. Jared's just taller at 6 foot 3, or 4. Onward. Sam makes Dean promise that if he turns evil Dean will kill him just like their Dad told Dean too. They're really close and a groups of Wincest fans all over pass out and miss, nothing, because nothing happens. They're brothers for cryin' out loud!!

And this review is getting lengthy and taking too long, so I'll finish up with the pool scene. While I would have liked to see Dean/Jensen wet (again), I think it's fitting that Sam gets to save the drowning girl, whose name is Tyler, because Dean got to save Lucas from drowning in "Dead in the Water". Now they've each saved a drowning kid.

A few last notes. I love Dean's hangover "cure". Older siblings are the best. Why did Sam have to remember that Dean had promised to kill him? Doesn't he understand how much pressure he's putting on Dean?? Of course not. He's worried about turning evil.

It took so long to do these because I slept at a friend's house Thursday night. We watched Supernatural together. Then I got home mid-afternoon friday. Another of my friends called and I went to a basketball game and forgot about the Friday Fives. And I spent most of Saturday at a belated birthday party for another friend.

I have not been able to find Supernatural transcripts for season two. I wish the place that has the season one treanscripts had kept up with the new episodes because it's so much more fun to throw in accurate quotes when writing my reviews.

"Hunted" & The Friday Fives

The Friday Five, and Supernatural Friday Five for yesterday. I realized in bed last night that I hadn't done them. So here goes. Last week I did the Supernatural Friday Five questions first, so this week I'm starting with the questions from friday5.org.

1. How high is your guilt threshold?
I feel guilty very easily, so I guess that make my guilt threshold very low. For instance, if I didn't do my homework I won't be able to make up a fake reason for why I didn't do I because I would already feel guilty for even thinking about lying to my teacher. I think it keeps me out of trouble because I know I would be able to pretend that I didn't do anything wrong.

2. How strong is your resistance to sweets?
My resistance to sweets is almost non-existant. I love candy and chocolate and only when I'm really full or REALLY sick can I turn it down.

3. How long is your fuse?
Long. I don't freak out about something until it's frustrated me for weeks. Right now I sit through a class where everyone else in the room spends the period talking and don't say anything because when I tried before it didn't help any.

4. What is the quickest way to get you hot (you know what we mean!)?
I don't know. I always seem to be cold. Eating chocolate and curling up with a book or fanfiction seems to give me the ability to ignore how cold I am.

5. How sensitive are you to ambient noise?
I can usually hear people coming to the door over my music. And I usually play my music to tune out the world.

1. What's the one most humorous incident/fact that's been presented in the episodes so far?
The Prank Wars. I think it's so right for brothers. I think it was a great addition to the show and the episode (Hell House).

2. If humans can be represented by animal forms, what animals do you think Sam and Dean will be?
I like that in the fanfiction "I Thought I Saw" Dean turns into a panther, so I'll stick with a panther for Dean. I think it fits because Dean kind of has two sides: he's charming and gorgeous, but he's also a kick ass hunter. So panthers look pretty and soft, but you know that if you piss it off it will take you down and I think that fits with Dean. For Sam, I think a giraffe because he's so tall just kidding. A dolphin because he's so smart, but also a deer because they get skiddish around people. Sam's good with people, but he's not really ready to let go of Jessica and find another girl.

3. Do you live off spoilers or avoid them?
Some where in the middle. I try to avoid spoilers, but I also hate waiting for new episodes to come on Thursdays, so I usually cheat. I'm trying hard to avoid them though.

4. The Demon said it had family - children. Do you think that means literal offspring - baby!Demons - or like-minded, similar demons?I think off-spring, though I'm having trouble trying to imagine reproduction among demons. I think off-spring because Big Bad's "children" seem to be lower than him on the demon chain of command. They follow his orders and call him "father". I guess even if they aren't off-spring, then I don't think their similar demons either because they don't seem to have as much power as him (or they don't use it).

5. What was your first reaction to what Dean told Sam in the beginning of Hunted?
I was kind of let down, but that's okay. My second reaction was an outloud "Oh My God!," but thats because Dean said "please" more times in that scene than he had all of season one.

My review for Supernatural's January 11, 2007 episode "Hunted".

I liked this episode ALOT! Except for three very small pieces that I thought could have been better.

So I'll start with the parts I thought could have been better. Number 1: When Dean was punching Gordon I could tell none of the punches were landing (the first time I watched). Number 2: When the second grenade goes off behind Dean it definitely looked like it had been put in with computer. Jensen's reaction was great, but the background threw me (again on my first time watching it). And Number 3: When Sam slams Gordon with the butt of the gun it looked faked took. I only pick these things up because my family loves finding continuity and stuff in movies. And now I do it without trying. I noticed Andy's (Simon Said) van in an episode from season one, and it was only on-screen for a few seconds and it was a dark scene.

I love how Sam picked up the bullet from the rooftop and knew exactly what kind it was and al that. And Ava's response to his odd knowledge was great too.

I waited to post this review because I wanted to be able to find a picture of something I thought was funny. So, this is as close to the picture I want as I'm going to get.

The picture is from supernatural.tv, which does lovely screencaps and more for every episode. Now, look at the picture. Good job (it's hard. I know). Dean's just been untied and ungagged. Sam just almost got blown up. So, Dean thought Sam was dead, and Sam was worried about Dean.To me, this is the PERFECT time for a hug. Instead, we get "that." I'm pretty sure that at one point Sam had his hands on Dean's shoulders, but I couldn't find that picture. Is this (see picture) as close to a hug as we're ever going to see them give each other?? I could slide in between them (and would willingly). We all know they can hug because the both hugged John in Shadow, and they kind of hugged in "Home" after Sam almost choked by the evil lamp. I could understand that maybe they wanted to make sure Gordon wasn't going to come in and kill them, but still...they got SOOO close! We almost got to see a hug, and then we didn't. Damn!

Who's really in control? Dean's older and he's been hunting longer so it makes sense that he would be "in charge," but for the past two episodes (and probably more) things seem to be going Sam's way. Dean's said more than once that he wants to stop hunting and take a break, and yet they continue hunting. I understand that showing them not hunting wouldn't be as exciting as watching them hunt, but I don't want to Dean to crash either. They haven't taken much of a break since they got Metallicar back up and running. And sometimes people just need everything to slow down so that they can process things. I think if I found out my sibling might possibly be turning EVIL I'd need sometime to think. I do think that during the hunts Dean seems to the one with the plans. He knows what he's doing, and they work together, but he seems to be "in command" when they're working a case.

I never did a post for the Supernatural episode "Croatoan" which aired like two weeks ago, or something. So, here it is.

I like the Metallicar stunts. The part where Dean drives up to the roadblock, refuses to get out of the car, the guy pops up next to his window and he still refuses to get out. Then Dean backs up the car fast and turns, sending the guy flying. Finally some stunt work by Metallicar. I loved it.

I like the Marine Master Sargent. He was extremely cool. I love the scene where him and Dean meet up after Dean's come back from the roadblock and they're yelling at each other. In particular, I love the Mr. Roger's joke:
"My neighbor, Mr. Rogers..."
"You a have a neighbor named Mr. Rogers?"
"Not anymore."
What a great set lines. It's just stuck in there.

I enjoyed the "School House Rock" reference. The fact that Dean didn't pay attention in history class at all.

Dean not leaving Sam. I think some people were suprised that Dean didn't leave Sam when Sam thought he was infected. It didn't suprise me at all. I have a younger sister and I'd never leave her to die alone. No matter the circumstances. And as far as the show goes, Dean has always been Sam's protector so him leaving wouldn't have made any sense to me. Sam didn't leave Dean in "Faith", and Dean didn't leave in this episode.

I remember shouting at the television for Dean to not shoot the guy that Sma had seen him shoot, then near the end of the episode the guy (Duane) pulls a 'Meg' and kills the Master Sargent. Man!! I remember some choice phrases coming out of my mouth at that. I was not expecting it all.

The car that Dean sees when he's driving to get help, before the roadblock, has the license plate "WTF 4C7". The "WTF" really cracked me up because I'm an immature teenager.

Last thing I promise. I loved the end. The fact that Dean wants to take and see the Grand Canyon or go to Hollywood. It's one of the first times we hear that Dean wants a little bit of normal, other than just to be a family. And the very end when Dean tells Sam that John told him something about Sam. The second after he said that I thought for sure it was going to end and then it didn't so I thought they were actually going to tell us. And after a few long seconds the credits started. This show is such a tease. But I liked it.

I couple weeks ago I bought Dark Angel seasons 1 & 2 with the Christmas money from my Dad's side of the family. We had it really early. So now I've watch almost of the episodes without having to find the next piece like I did on YouTube. I like the commentaries as well. And because I got both seasons I have more episodes with Jensen in it, so my Jensen marathons last longer than they did when all I had to watch was every episode of Supernatural to date. Woohoo!!

"Crossroad Blues" Review Addition & Supernatural Praise

I'm adding something to my "Crossroads Blues" review. Even though it's been like two weeks since the episode. Dean's Latin is awesome!! And he should speak it more often. I think that's the coolest thing I've heard since ever. Go Jensen!! Jensen speaking Latin is one of the sexiest things anyone's ever heard. Also on that list Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Possessed!John. I didn't think his voice could get any "awesome-er", but it did.

This picture is from Supernatural. Internet-wise it's from Anteka's LiveJournal. I've seen it all over Supernatural stuff, but that was the first place I could think to steal it from. I take no credit for it. I didn't resize it or anything. I think it's an awesome example of the fine work people are doing on Supernatural. As soon as we have new ink cartridges I'm gonna print it and it will go on my "Wall of Inspiration".

"Crossroad Blues"

This week's episode of Supernatural just ended. According to my clock it's like three minutes after ten. What this means is I'm not going to be very understandable, but I'm going to try anyway. Here is my review for the Supernatural episode "Crossroad Blues".

I love the "then", "now", and "soon" pieces. I think they're great. I thought it was amazing that the promo from next week's episode was like a minute long. More like a movie trailer you'd see in the theaters, than a tv show commercial. Sweet!

I love the MySpace comment Dean makes. I just find it funny that he doesn't know what MySpace is. And it makes sense too. He's been on the road, and wouldn't really have time to explore the Internet's social places, and why would he want to?

This episode brought up a few new questions for me:
How did they 'improvise' Metallicar out of the impound lot?
What happens to Dean in ten years? (They made the deal right, or was the demon exorcised, and the deal is null?)
Are they going to get John back?
Why can't we cut out the days between Thursday and the next Thursday so we don't have to wait so long for new episodes?

I think that's it. It's short.

I'm traveling to Vermont tomorrow. My friend and I are going to visit Champlain College and Castleton. I'm really interested in Champlain, and I'm applying there, once I get all my recommendation stuff together.

"The Usual Suspects"

Wow! I managed to put off my Supernatural review thing for a whole week. Now I have free time, and I guess I'll do it.

My review for the Supernatural episode "The Usual Suspects".

I liked the concept of the episode; that finially Dean and Sam get caught. Because we know they're the good guys, but they do alot of illegal things along the way, and nobody knows that they save lives. Claire the Death Omen was awesome! Very creepy and disgusting.

One of my favorite parts was when Dean was trying to hang out while Sam hacked Anthony Giles password. I thought it was hilarious and very practical (and in character) that Dean wouldn't be very good at just doing nothing. I love Jensen's facial expressions and the clicking and farting noises.

I had alot of lines that I liked. I list them below.

"We saw the largest ball of twine in the continental U.S. Awesome!" A perfect delivery by Jared, and one of the first times Sam's lied to police officers. And it's a funny line.

"Matlock." Yes, they are brothers. I loved that both Dean and Sam called the lawyer Matlock.

"Just alot of wiseass remarks." I don't know why I like this line, but I like that Dean's being a wiseass to the cops.

"My name is Dean Winchester. I'm an aquarius. I enjoy sunsets, long walks on the beach and frisky women. And I did not kill anyone." I just thought this 'confession' was so Dean. Great writing and, as always, awesome acting.

"Just one more dead scum bag." "Hey!" I liked that short exchange between Pete, the cop, and Dean. And it's kinda of like finding out how someone on the 'outside' (of Supernatural) would see the brothers and what they do. Pete doesn't know that they're really good guys, and how could he they'd never tell him. And of course, Dean objects to being called a scumbag because he's a good guy. Even though most people won't ever know it.

I like that Dean and Sam have a plan in case they get separated.

Now I'm going to finish up quick because I want to go watch the Simpsons. I realy liked this episode, but by the end I had two things that worried me. Number One: Dean and Sam are now on the police radar for St. Louis because now they're all puzzled about why their dead serial killer isn't really dead, but really is, and every one is confused. Number Two: Metallicar. When Sam says at the end that they'll improvise, that better mean they're going to improvise Metallicar out of the impound lot, and not improvise on a new car. Metallicar is loved and she can't be replaced.

I think that's it. I'll be back later to type my new review for this week's episode.

Oh, I almost forget. I love Jensen and Jared!!!!!!!! Fangirl moment over (for now).

"No Exit"

Okay my review thing for "No Exit".

I liked the bad guys. I thought it was a cool idea.

My main problem with this episode was Jo. I really want to like her because I know I have to deal with her to watch the show, but I really don't like her. I tried. She just annoys me.

I liked the uncomfortable moments between Dean and Jo, even though I don't like her and I was jealous of her. And the way Dean woke up on that chair, that would hurt. Even if the chair was comfy. You have to wonder how the hell he ended up like that.

I had guessed a little before Jo told Dean, that John had been on her Dad's last hunt. I have already forgotten her Dad's name so I'm going to call him WAH because those are his initials.

I'm a little glad that Jo and Ellen are mad at our guys right now because it means we get an episode without the Roadhouse, etc. I do like Ash, and the way Ellen scares Dean, but Jo still annoys me.

I wasn't as excited for this episode as I have been for the previous ones, but it's okay because the commercials for next weeks epi got me squeaking. I'm totally ready for that one now...seriously, right now.

"Simon Said" & Metallicar's Undeniable Coolness

My Supernatural Rant for episode 2.05 Simon Said.

I'll start with the tie Sam was wearing when they introduced themselves to the woman at the coffee shop (or whatever) as lawyers. It was yellow, with spots. Ewww. That's all for the tie.

The face Dean made when Jo put the jukebox onto whatever song she picked was priceless. My sister and I named it Dean's 'What the hell?!' face. I love Jensen's expressions, and his eyes, they're so green.

I loved when Dean sung. My friend called me (during the show) to freak out. Both of us are in chorus and we have a huge thing for guys that can sing. I thought it was funny that he was singing 'cuz it was stuck in his head. On a similar note, the following link goes to a video on myspace.com of Jensen Ackles and another person (name has slipped my mind) singing at a wedding (edited on May 21, 2007: Jason Manns). Jensen is singing the higher part. Jensen singing.

I love love love the concept of mind control and Andy was an enjoyable character IMHO. I have got to stop reading spoilers because I knew that Dean was going to give the car to Andy, but it played out so well.

Jensen was incredible, everytime he was mind controlled it was hilarious. Especially when he was in Metallicar telling the truth to Andy. He totally looked like he was trying to stop, but couldn't. So amazing. Jared did a great job with the visions and trying to figure out his future. It seemed to me that Dean and Sam went back to their season 1 parts for this episode. For all of season 1 Sam was trying to figure things out and Dean was there to help him out. Up to now in season 2, Dean's been trying to get past their father's death and Sam's been trying to help. In this episode Dean was back to his big brotherly self. I loved it, but I definitely like how Dean's been more focused on this season.

Andy's van: pretty cool. Dean's reaction to it was priceless, "This is-long pause-awesome."(wording is as close as I can remember). I laughed at the disco ball hanging in there.

The sniper rifle, or 'the big ass gun Dean had in the woods'. Man, they showed the profile of Dean with that monster and I squeaked. Nice gun! A step up from the trusty shotgun. I was hoping that he could shoot Webber, then Webber already knew and they sent us in to a commercial with Dean holding the rifle on himself. Ahh!! A cool trick that Webber can mind-control people by thinking, rather than having to say something. I'm glad it played out the way it did, with Andy shoting Webber, added to Sam's doubt about whether he and the others can be good guys or not.

Dean asks for a do over, and Sam asks him if he's seven. I love it!! The writing for this show is incredible, and DAMN! They're hot!!

I apologize if this is all over the place. I have trouble organizing my thoughts and remembering sequences chronologically after Supernatural. It's the mix of super plot lines, hot guys and the sexy Impala.

I was messing around in photoshop yesterday and my sister and I got thinking: "What would it be like if Metallicar weren't black? What if it were pink?" We're very odd, anyway, this is the answer.

It's pink (my sis picked the color) and it still looks cool.

Creative Writing & "Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things"

Prompt: Why is a kidnapper afraid of the dark?

He wasn't a bad person, just not a particularly good person either. It wasn't like he enjoyed hurting these people, but he needed the money.

It was the middle of the night and he'd locked this man's kids in the coat closet across the hall. The man and his wife sat on their bed, hands entwined. They refused to be separated. It didn't matter much to him, as long as they didn't try anything.

All the lights in the house stayed off during his break in. He didn't want any night owl neighbors getting suspicious. The house was dark, it was a neccessity, one he didn't like.

The dark was full of unknowns and people who did bad things, like him.

It was night when his mother was murdered and it was night when his father died in his sleep. The dark scared him, and it always would, but what scared him even more was that he had become one of the bad things in the dark.

The next piece of writing is based on the painting The Tower by Salvador Dali. I was handed a printed off copy of the picture and told to write.

A poorly constucted tower, one window and one door, but a tower none the less. Not only a towerm but a sign of hope. The only place I would truely be safe. Safe from drugs, alcohol, cars, radiation, bad people, life. Nothing could hurt me in this safe place, with it's perfect sunset, sandy beaches and glorious ocean.

The one door made sense, only one place to go from here: the real world. And the window, aimed not at the beach, but at the outside world.

This place is my sanctuary, but to live a real life I must experience the world outside of my mind. Meet new people and take chances.

I will control my own destiny. This tower is my back-up plan.

And now...Supernatural: My review of "Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things".

I've seen it twice today, I didn't get to watch it when it aired last night. Thank god YouTube. And the wonderful people on there. Rhindon, BuenaEngel, and MyPoems32 are my heros. All three of them had the entire episode up today.

It seems that the lines I liked were liked by others as well. Rather than watching the episode again right now I'm copying lines that people have put in reviews. And I'll try to remember the right wording for lines nobody noted.

As a note: some of this is dirty, and it's not my fault. I didn't write the lines used on the show. I just write my little pieces about it.

"Next on the skin channel, cosmic erotica 4 the tale of two Latin beauties."
Sam, you dirty, dirty boy. Now we know what Sam does while Dean goes to the bars to pick up girls. It's good to know that Sam is actually a guy. Dean's expression when he comes in the room is, as LanaLang1 (of youtube.com) put it, 'I totally know what you were doing'. I like that the box, or paper on the top of the tv says 'XXX' and can be seen in various parts of the scene.

Dean "We've got to burn the bones"
Sam "Burn the bones?...Are you high?"
I agree with LanaLang1 (of youtube.com), Dean's expression is priceless. He looks like he's trying to decide whether or not he's high.

Sam: "What the hell's the matter with you, Dean."
Dean: "Back off."

Sam: "Stop it, that's enough okay! Enough!"
Dean: "Sam, I know what I'm doing."
Sam: "No, you don't. At all. Dean, I don't scare easy, but man, you are scarin' the crap outta me."
Dean: "Don't be over dramatic Sam."
Sam: "You're lucky this turned out to be a real case, 'cuz if it wasn't you woulda just found something else to kill."
Dean: "Wha--?"
Sam: "You're on edge, you're erratic. Except for when you're hunting. 'Cuz then you're down right scary. You're tailspinning man. And you refuse to talk about it. And you won't let me help you."
Dean: "I can take care of myself, thanks."
Sam:" No, you can't. And you know what? You're the only one who thinks you should have to. You don't have to handle this on your own, Dean. No one can."
Dean: "Sam, if you bring up Dad's death one more time I swear..."
Sam: "Please, Dean, it's killing you, please. We've already lost Dad. We've lost Mom. I've lost Jess. And now I'm going to lose you too?"
Go Sam!! Older siblings don't like needing help. The very last line of that makes me sad. They've both lost so many people. I'm Sam said all this stuff. Dean helped Sam with Jess's death and the visions in the first season, and now it's Sam 's turn to help Dean. And he needs help, lots of it.

Dean: "Hello! Neil! It's your grief counselors. We've come to hug."
I love Dean. I love the one-liners. I'd take a hug.

Dean: "Well, it takes two to, you know, have hard-core sex."
Another great one-liner.

I love the very last scene. Before I had watched it my friend had 'ambushed' me in school: "Did you watch it? Oh my god, I can't believe he cried!" Me: "What?!!!" I'm really glad they played the last scene the way they did. Where Dean figures out that their Dad sacrificed himself for him(Dean). And then he turns to Sam and asks the question that got me very close to crying: "You wanted to what I was feelin', well that's it. So tell me, what could you possibly say to make that all right?" I wanted to jump into the computer and give Dean a hug (moreso than I usually do I mean). I'm glad he didn't just break down and start sobbing. I think that would have been ALOT much.

I liked this episode. I thought Dean was scarier last episode when he killed the vampire with that huge saw, but this epi he wasn't even thinking things through completely with regards to the case. He kept jumping to conclusions. I liked the fake ceremony to lure Angela to her grave. It was a really smart idea.

"Bloodlust"

I've realized(remembered) how much I love posting. Two posts in one day. I rock. I had to post something about tonight's episode of Supernatural, titled "Bloodlust".

I was very pleased with this episode. I loved the first two episodes, but this one I was like "they're back". Great character development for Dean.

I very much enjoyed the triumphant return of the Impala, set to AC/DC's "Back In Black". A perfect song choice. I was so excited that I started squeaking. I'm so glad it's back. And Dean, I love Dean. In the car at the beginning. When Sam tells him they had 300 miles to go and he was excited, I loved that. It was perfect. I also loved at the end when Dean said Sam had a freebee shot, and was trying to get Sam to punch him. That was perfect.

It scared me when Dean cut the guy's head off. It really freaked me out. Jensen is an incredible actor. I was so worried about Dean's mental state. That was beyond hunting. He was enjoying it. So well done.

I think Amber Benson did a great job. I like that these vampires realized that killing people is wrong and were doing they're best to change their ways. Shades of gray.

I hated Gordon. I'm an older sibling, like Gordon, and I got a little mad when he said that he'd killed his sister. What the hell!! I could never do that. I don't care about the circumstances. I'm glad Dean looked a little put off as well. At the end, I think Dean should have called the cops. Gordon was the one decapitating all those "people". But I guess that would be a risk. Gordon could tell the cops about the Winchester Boys.

When Dean punched Sam my sis turned to me and said "I would punch you back". And I responded, "I would expect you to". So I thought that the "freebie shot" scene at the end was really "real life". I hope that "rain check" doesn't come back to bite Dean in ass.
