Towels Are Evil!

For Bailey: A short blog post on why towels are evil (and why we also love them).

Jensen Ackles - The episode "Borrowed Time" of Dark Angel

Jared Padalecki - The episode "Hell House" of Supernatural

And that is why towels are evil. But HELLO! Nice view.

Both of the pictures are from http://www.desiring-jensen.org/ (even though one is of Jared).

P.S. Bailey, I had to search through pages of pictures to find these. Then I had to pick from the shots they had of each with the evil towel. It was hard (right!), but I did it (and would gladly do it again). Love ya Bails!

P.S.2. This really shouldn't make sense other than Bailey and I (and possibly Monique), so just enjoy the pictures.

Personal Discovery

Every once in a while I figure something out about myself. Sunday I hung out with Monique and Bailey. We had a sleepover at Monique's. I've always like having musicgoing when I'm writing or working on something. At Monique's I learned that I write much better if I'm wearing headphones to listen to music. I don't know why it helps me to concentrate, except that it kind of blocks out the outside world, and I am able to get totally absorbed in the music. I wanted to write it down so that I remember. I need to find a pair of headphones. I'm working on writing a story for a prompt my Mom gave me a while ago and I'd actually like to continue writing it. It's about what happens after the episode "Freak Nation" of Dark Angel.

Something to Look Into A Little More

http://community.livejournal.com/rocksaltwhores/. It's a LiveJournal Community called Rock Salt Whores. They're a Supernatural Challenge Community. The challenges they post have actual expectations, not just a word like most of the places I've ended up on. I'll have to look into it a little more because I really want to write something. I haven't really written anything in a while.

I've read some of these, but I can't remember how many. http://www.valjeanfanfiction.com/DAfanfic06.html. It's a series called Dark Alec. Kind of Dark Angel Virtual Season 4, except Alec is the main character. And I think they're kind of Max/Alec, which is okay because I like them as a couple (Max is a girl).

Charlie the Unicorn: Some People Just Have to Much Free Time

Almost everybody has seen the "Charlie the Unicorn" video on YouTube.com. And for those who haven't here's a link to it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hgO3NcG3IHM. It's a funny video, though a little annoying if watched too many times.

Once you've watched that there are so many remakes that people have made in their spare time. I found my favorite: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P6DjeK2xIZc. That's right...someone put Supernatural clips to Charlie the Unicorn. And my friends think I'm obsessed. I just spend the time finding this stuff.

And I find alot of stuff. Especially on YouTube. Here is the link to my YouTube profile: http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=OverExcitedGeek. As of posting this link I have 291 videos in my favorites list. I don't have any videos that I've made (because I've never made any) but I find some of the best stuff. Very diverse: Supernatural, Dark Angel, Firefly/Serenity, Drake Bell, Jensen Ackles, Stargate (SG-1 and Atlantis), and more. Because...I really have no life.

On a completely unrelated topic. We bought season 2 of Stargate Atlantis yesterday. I'd seen most of the episodes, and have now watched the ones I hadn't seen, but I can't wait to watch commentaries and special features.

PicSpams Equal Love

I want to link to the Dean vs. Alec PicSpam. It has pictures from Supernatural and Dark Angel. And it compares Jensen in the two shows.

Blogger Praise, "Croatoan" & Dark Angel

WOW! I love this NEW Blogger.

I'm writing this post in Opera. I usually open a window of Internet Explorer to post on here. And it takes forever. This is great. I use Opera for everything except blogging, and now I can use it for blogging too. Good job, Blogger!!

^*^*^*^*^

I never did a post for the Supernatural episode "Croatoan" which aired like two weeks ago, or something. So, here it is.

I like the Metallicar stunts. The part where Dean drives up to the roadblock, refuses to get out of the car, the guy pops up next to his window and he still refuses to get out. Then Dean backs up the car fast and turns, sending the guy flying. Finally some stunt work by Metallicar. I loved it.

I like the Marine Master Sargent. He was extremely cool. I love the scene where him and Dean meet up after Dean's come back from the roadblock and they're yelling at each other. In particular, I love the Mr. Roger's joke:
"My neighbor, Mr. Rogers..."
"You a have a neighbor named Mr. Rogers?"
"Not anymore."
What a great set lines. It's just stuck in there.

I enjoyed the "School House Rock" reference. The fact that Dean didn't pay attention in history class at all.

Dean not leaving Sam. I think some people were suprised that Dean didn't leave Sam when Sam thought he was infected. It didn't suprise me at all. I have a younger sister and I'd never leave her to die alone. No matter the circumstances. And as far as the show goes, Dean has always been Sam's protector so him leaving wouldn't have made any sense to me. Sam didn't leave Dean in "Faith", and Dean didn't leave in this episode.

I remember shouting at the television for Dean to not shoot the guy that Sma had seen him shoot, then near the end of the episode the guy (Duane) pulls a 'Meg' and kills the Master Sargent. Man!! I remember some choice phrases coming out of my mouth at that. I was not expecting it all.

The car that Dean sees when he's driving to get help, before the roadblock, has the license plate "WTF 4C7". The "WTF" really cracked me up because I'm an immature teenager.

Last thing I promise. I loved the end. The fact that Dean wants to take and see the Grand Canyon or go to Hollywood. It's one of the first times we hear that Dean wants a little bit of normal, other than just to be a family. And the very end when Dean tells Sam that John told him something about Sam. The second after he said that I thought for sure it was going to end and then it didn't so I thought they were actually going to tell us. And after a few long seconds the credits started. This show is such a tease. But I liked it.

^*^*^*^*^

I couple weeks ago I bought Dark Angel seasons 1 & 2 with the Christmas money from my Dad's side of the family. We had it really early. So now I've watch almost of the episodes without having to find the next piece like I did on YouTube. I like the commentaries as well. And because I got both seasons I have more episodes with Jensen in it, so my Jensen marathons last longer than they did when all I had to watch was every episode of Supernatural to date. Woohoo!!

The Chronicling Of My Obsessions

I had something really deep and interesting to blog about, but I've forgotten it.

I want to put a list of my past and present obsessions on here. They are in order from a long time ago, to now.

Titanic

Smallville

Lord of the Rings

Stargate, Stargate SG-1, and Stargate Atlantis (Mostly SG-1 in the beginning. Mostly Atlantis since Jack/RDA left SG-1.)

Supernatural (NOW)

Dark Angel (NOW)

Firefly/Serenity (NOW)

Titanic was my first obsession. I have a bunch of books about the ship, and the movie, etc. Smallville was next. My best friend and I watched it religiously in the eighth grade (I watch it now bcause it's on before Supernatural, and I watched season 4 because of Jensen). I got into Stargate SG-1 because one of my friends introduced it to me. Then my Girl Scout troop did an event based on the show (we're very talented). I still watch SG-1 and Atlantis when they air on the CW. I don't get to see new episodes on Sci-Fi because we don't have Sci-Fi. Supernatural is my current obsession (obviously). I got into this summer when they were playing repeats on the WB/CW. I was flipping channels and landed on it. Then watched it the next week and the week after. Then I read that the episodes were uploaded on youtube.com, and I caught up on all of them. Now I'm obsessed and I watch every episode when it airs. I read (and sometimes write) fanfics, read (and post to) message boards, etc. I am obsessed. I got into Dark Angel because Jensen is in it (in the second season). I waited patiently as CrystaLuv and EncartaQueen uploaded episodes. My new Firefly/Serenity obsession is my friend Ryan's fault. I let him borrow my Supernatural DVDs, and he let me borrow his Firefly DVDs, and I watched all of Firefly in a weekend. Then he let me borrow the movie Serenity. I've seen it three or four times now. It's a good show (and movie) and I'm really bummed that it's off the air.

What I really obsess over is certain actors, and they change as my obsession changes. With Titanic it was Leonardo DiCaprio. Smallville it was Tom Welling. My Lord of the Rings love intrest was Viggo Mortensen. Stargate SG-1 I liked Richard Dean Anderson. Stargate Atlantis I like Joe Flanigan. For Supernatural and Dark Angel it's Jensen Ackles (Jared Padalecki is good-looking too). And for Firefly and Serenity I like Nathan Fillion.

The point of this whole post is that I have obsession problems. I'm proud to say that I have never stalked anyone though. I will not stoop to that.

I'll be back on here after tonight's episode of Supernatural to give my review.

Sleep Procrastination Causes Teen Ramblings

Good evening all!!

Actually, It's about 11:40 at the moment, and I'm procrastinating going to bed. I really wanted to write a post that didn't include a writing prompt. I haven't done one in such a long time it's almost hard. So I'll start by rambling on and on and on.

I've been reading fanfiction. I read Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, Dark Angel and Supernatural fanfics. I mostly read Supernatural fics though.

Tonight I was on the Supernatural message boards over at imdb.com. I was checking one of my favorite threads, "things you would never hear on Supernatural". There are some really great things that people have made up that would never ever be said in Supernatural (I hope).

I did a major shopping trip this weekend. I got an MP3 player, new shoes, and a bunch of new CDs. My new CDs: The Fray-How to Save Life, Evanescence-The Open Door, Natasha Bedingfield-Unwritten, Teddy Geiger-Thinking Underage (I think that's what it is). I love music.

I just finished an awesome set of books. A trilogy actually, by Scott Westerfeld, Uglies, Pretties and Specials. I thought they were really good. I read them all in five days (total). I'm going to look for the book Peeps by Scott Westerfeld at my school library and I have So Yesterday checked out right now.

I LOVE SUPERNATURAL!! I get really excited for new episodes. I go around the house all week asking people one question : "Is it Thursday yet?" Then on Thursdays I get really annoying: "It's Thurssssdaaaayyy!!" This may be an unhealthy obsession for me, but oh well. I went through it with Stargate SG-1 as well.

Yayness for me! The CW has started playing season 2 episodes of Stargate Atlantis on Saturdays. And Season 9 episodes of Stargate SG-1. This is a good thing because I don't have the SciFi Channel so I missed all of those seasons. I've been trying to keep up with season 3 of Stargate Atlantis on youtube.com. They kind of ruined Stargate SG-1 for me when Jack left. He was my favorite, but I'm willing to give Mitchell a chance. Maybe I'll like him.

Now it's after midnight so I have to get to bed so that I'll be at least a little bit personable tomorrow.

Word of the Moment: Persqueeter.

Two Jensen-Themed Short Stories

I have to say: I am so glad that the season premiere of Supernatural was better than how I wrote it. I watched it on tv, then spent a few minutes where I could only squeak because I liked it so much. Then the next day I watched it before school (great way to start a day) and it was the only thing I could talk about during school.

First story thing I did is based on the second season episode of Dark Angel named "The Berrisford Agenda".

Use this in a story:
And even if he did, there would be nothing else to do.

The man was going to kill him. he couldn't get his hands free of the cuffs, and even if he could, what would be the point? it was his fault the man's daughter had been hurt. He had planted the bomb after all.

'But it was your job.' Alec's rational mind reminded him him. 'And you tried to warn her.'

'Yeah, look how that turned out. She's probably dead and it's all my fault.'

"What happened to her?"

"She hit her head when she fell, she fell into a coma. She's been dying for two years. Do you know what it's like to watch someone you love slip away a little everyday? Do you know what you've done?" This was her father, Robert Berrisford, he was understandably angry. The gun he held in his hand looked quite unfamiliar there.

"Just do it." Alec told Robert, get this whole mess over with. Berrisford raised the gun and knocked to the ground, unconscious, by a short, slender woman Alec recognized as Max.

"I told you to talk to me before this mess got out of hand." Max berated him as she unlocked the handcuffs.

"And I told you to leave me alone." He walked out, leaving Max alone with her thoughts and an unconscious Berrisford.

^*^*^*^*^

Explain your pretty pea green shoes.

"Oh, they're gorgeous!! I love them." She looked the shoes over once more. "Can I get them, Mom?"

"Absolutely. Get whatever you want."

She grabbed the adorable pea green strappy sandal heels, and headed immediately to the dress section. She stuck out her hand and touched a few of the dresses. Her hand paused on a pink, frilly dress with short sleeves, sequins and beads. She pulled it off the rack. Her size.

The dressing room was empty and she changed quietly in one of the stalls. The mirror inside was tall enough and she admired her reflection. The dress fell just above her knees and flared about when she spun.

'It's perfect.' She slipped the green shoes on her feet.

"I love it. Now all I need is a date."

"Umm. Can I help you?" The voice was soft, confident, and familiar. She spun around. The stall door was open and standing in the doorway looking unbelievably sexy was Jensen Ackles.

"This cannot be happening." She muttered.

--You want me! Come find me! Make up your mind!!--

She opened her eyes and looked at her alarm clock, then sat straight up in bed.

"What the--"

"Meghan, get up!!"

"That was such a weird dream."

^*^*^*^*^

I wrote these Thursday afternoon. I was super hyped up about it finally being the day for the season premiere of Supernatural. That's why they are Jensen themed (Jensen Ackles was Alec in Dark Angel, and is Dean Winchester in Supernatural). The alarm clock in the second piece plays Evanescence's new song "Call Me When You're Sober" which I love. So much fun to sing along with.

Good night all (or good morning, or good afternoon, depending where you live, or when you read this)
