Desktop Pictures I've Made Recently

Here are some desktop pictures I've made that I hadn't posted here.

If anyone is looking for my Excited Geek Art site it's at this address for now: http://learning.excited-geek.com/art/. I had to move it when I updated my main site.

Erin, your birthday card is in the "learning" subdomain as well.

This was the first Stargate Atlantis desktop picture I made. I didn't spend much time on it, I just wanted a Stargate Atlantis-themed wallpaper for my desktop. I have a picture of the city of Atlantis (maybe the same one I used in this wallpaper) as the background for my computer's second login (it's my writing account and the city of Atlantis is very inspirational for me).

This is the desktop picture I made last night. I needed a pretty John Sheppard wallpaper to replace the Evil!John wallpaper I was using (below). This isn't how I wanted this to turn out, but I can deal with it for now.

This desktop picture has been on my screen for a while. It's Evil!John Sheppard from the Stargate Atlantis episode "Doppelganger".

This is a cutdown version of a desktop picture I made for Erin's desktop. This is cut to fit my screen. The images are from the Stargate Atlantis season 4 episode "Doppelganger". Erin and I loved Evil!Sheppard. I think it only spent about a day or so on my desktop though before I moved on.

This is Meg from Supernatural in the episode "Devil's Trap". At first I wanted to add more to it, but I think it looks good how it is. This spent a weeek or so on my desktop.

Out of all the desktop pictures I've made, this is one of my favorites. It's Sheppard getting his ass kicked by Teyla in the Stargate Atlantis episode "Hot Zone".

Now I'm going to watch "The Dukes of Hazard" on tv. It's the newer one. The General Lee is a hot car. Maybe not as hot as Metallicar, but close.

Kidzels - Is It Wrong?

I was helpin' out at my aunts daycare today and she gave the kids Kidzels for snack. I'd never heard of them, but they're just pretzels made in fun shapes for kids. They're quite cute actually. I can't find pictures, but one of the shapes was a car.

Now I have a question: Is it wrong that the first thing I thought of when I saw the car-shaped pretzel was Metallicar? Because I totally did.

An Impala...Near Me!!

There's a house over near one of my friend's house (I have to drive past it to get to her house) that's selling a '64 Impala. It's a maroonish/purple color. Let me see if I can find a picture online...*time passes*

It looks like that (4 door) except it's this color:

Everytime we drive past it I ogle. It's pretty. It would be so awesome to drive around in an Impala. And a '64 is pretty close to a '67. I'd leave it the maroon/purple color. That way fangirls wouldn't follow me around thinking it was Metallicar.

Before Supernatural I didn't care. Now I notice. My Memere drives an Impala. It's a newer model (probably in the 2000s). She drove me to my graduation in it. And the show Drive (which I LIKED. Thank you very much, FOX) one of the characters drove a '64 Impala. It was Winston Salazar (played by Kevin Alejandro). He was the one that had been released from prison and had hooked up with his brother for the race. Hmm...two brothers, the older one a badass hottie, driving cross country in a '60 model Chevrolet Impala. Sounds familiar. Never realized that before.

And now it's too late (early) for me to be thinking straight. So, I'm going to head to bed. I've have to be up and personable by 8:45am. The timestamp says I'm posting this at 1:31am, but I'm actually posting at 3:10am.

"Simon Said" & Metallicar's Undeniable Coolness

My Supernatural Rant for episode 2.05 Simon Said.

I'll start with the tie Sam was wearing when they introduced themselves to the woman at the coffee shop (or whatever) as lawyers. It was yellow, with spots. Ewww. That's all for the tie.

The face Dean made when Jo put the jukebox onto whatever song she picked was priceless. My sister and I named it Dean's 'What the hell?!' face. I love Jensen's expressions, and his eyes, they're so green.

I loved when Dean sung. My friend called me (during the show) to freak out. Both of us are in chorus and we have a huge thing for guys that can sing. I thought it was funny that he was singing 'cuz it was stuck in his head. On a similar note, the following link goes to a video on myspace.com of Jensen Ackles and another person (name has slipped my mind) singing at a wedding (edited on May 21, 2007: Jason Manns). Jensen is singing the higher part. Jensen singing.

I love love love the concept of mind control and Andy was an enjoyable character IMHO. I have got to stop reading spoilers because I knew that Dean was going to give the car to Andy, but it played out so well.

Jensen was incredible, everytime he was mind controlled it was hilarious. Especially when he was in Metallicar telling the truth to Andy. He totally looked like he was trying to stop, but couldn't. So amazing. Jared did a great job with the visions and trying to figure out his future. It seemed to me that Dean and Sam went back to their season 1 parts for this episode. For all of season 1 Sam was trying to figure things out and Dean was there to help him out. Up to now in season 2, Dean's been trying to get past their father's death and Sam's been trying to help. In this episode Dean was back to his big brotherly self. I loved it, but I definitely like how Dean's been more focused on this season.

Andy's van: pretty cool. Dean's reaction to it was priceless, "This is-long pause-awesome."(wording is as close as I can remember). I laughed at the disco ball hanging in there.

The sniper rifle, or 'the big ass gun Dean had in the woods'. Man, they showed the profile of Dean with that monster and I squeaked. Nice gun! A step up from the trusty shotgun. I was hoping that he could shoot Webber, then Webber already knew and they sent us in to a commercial with Dean holding the rifle on himself. Ahh!! A cool trick that Webber can mind-control people by thinking, rather than having to say something. I'm glad it played out the way it did, with Andy shoting Webber, added to Sam's doubt about whether he and the others can be good guys or not.

Dean asks for a do over, and Sam asks him if he's seven. I love it!! The writing for this show is incredible, and DAMN! They're hot!!

I apologize if this is all over the place. I have trouble organizing my thoughts and remembering sequences chronologically after Supernatural. It's the mix of super plot lines, hot guys and the sexy Impala.

^*^*^*^*^

I was messing around in photoshop yesterday and my sister and I got thinking: "What would it be like if Metallicar weren't black? What if it were pink?" We're very odd, anyway, this is the answer.

It's pink (my sis picked the color) and it still looks cool.

CSI:NY

CSI: NY. That had to be bolded. I think I have formatting issues. Now I need to italicise something. I LOVED tonight's episode of CSI: NY. I don't think I can even describe it well, but it was like The DaVinci Code, which I loved as well. I thought the clues in the shirts were great. And the site edoc.com (which may, or may not be real) with the murder mystery that you solve by figuring out the clues on the shirt and getting clues from the site. What an awesome idea.

The following summary is from http://members.aol.com/remiped/csi-ny-spoilers3.htm:

Mac and Stella investigate the murder of a college student found decapitated, her body hung upside down from a ceiling fan. The grisly crime occurred during a sorority party and most of the witnesses are too drunk to remember anything. Later, another victim is found impaled on a tree in Battery Park, his eyes gouged out and two railroad spikes inserted into his head. Both victims were wearing unique shirts that contain hidden codes that could provide clues to the killer's identity.

I think it's a fairly good summary.

I can't wait for the new episode of Supernatural tomorrow. I'm hoping the Impala (the beloved Metallicar) will finally be up and running.

Supernatural: The Beginning Of A New Obsession Era

I am now addicted to a show called Supernatural. It plays on the WB, soon to be the CW. The entire cast is Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki. They play brothers, Dean and Sam Winchester, who travel around the US in a black 1967 Chevy Impala to hunt supernatural beings, such as spirits, shapeshifters, and the demon that killed their mother and Sam's girlfriend Jess. They are also looking for their father, who went missing while on a 'hunting' trip. The plot is good, and I love Jensen and Jared. It helps that they are both good looking and act like brothers would.
